Todd, two of my grandchildren, Tanner & Erin Hayden, from Grace Baptist Church in Wilmington (Wilmngton Christian Academy) are planning to be on the team coming for a short term missions trip to assist in yoiur church planting efforts in Chipata in July 2012. So I would know more about the missionary and the area, I began a search. Found your webbog on Google and more about you on the GFA site. Both of their parents are BJU Alumni and their older sister is a 3rd year student. My wife and I are thrilled to see them take this step.

We retired in January after 13 years of church planting and camp development/operation about 50 miles outside Cape Town. We love the African people and truly miss them.

Alan & Jan Patterson are friends and supported by our home church. They stayed in our home several years ago prior to our going to South Africa. I know what you mean when you wrote about visiting Joberg for your medical need. It is not typical Africa. The medical facilites are excellent.

We will be praying for the team and for yoiur family as you return to Zambia in June.

Your blog is such a blessing! I found it through a link on my church's website because I am doing a project for school on your ministry. Thanks so much for sharing your heart for ministry. I am so thankful to see that you too agree the best way to reach the lost is practical biblical living. Be a living example of Christ to your community, pray for opportunities to give the gospel, and pray for fruit!
Praying for you guys.

Thanks for sharing your testimony, Todd. There is no sweeter story than those about the transforming grace of God. We are getting ready for Missions conference this month. It makes me think n about when your family was with us. We pray for you often. God bless!
